This lottery winner from Jamaica goes to collect his grand prize of $158,400,000 in an unusual outfit, wearing a ‘scream’ mask, long coat, and gloves. His reason? “I didn’t want anyone to recognize me, not even my own family.”
He wished to remain anonymous, but as seen on the ticket, it has a name “A. Campbell”. When he got the call that he had won the lottery, he was in disbelief. While for weeks the lottery holder, Supreme Ventures urged him to step forward, given the deadline was 90 days, it unbelievably took the man upto 54 days to claim the ticket.
We imagine he was busy plotting different theories to collect his grand prize just so that his family doesn’t find out. Finally he decided to just show up in a scary mask and a long gown, ensuring no-one suspects who he is.
The man originally bought the ticket for $1.49 USD. It makes sense why he would get sick in his stomach after realising that his fortune had turned around. “I had a belly ache for two weeks. The pain was so intense that I even forgot that I had won.”
Now that he has claimed the money, he plans to invest it in buying a house.
FYI: “Campbell” is a fourth most common last name in Jamaica, although it originates from Scotland and passes on through Scottish immigration. Moreover, there are several people with ‘A Campbell’ in their names: Alan, Alexander, Allan, Andrew, Arthur, Ashley, so on.
To all his haters out there: Good luck finding him!
